Beverages

Orange Julius

This is a great way to cool down the kids after a hard day of playing outside. Makes 1-3 servings, depending on your glass size.

1 - 6 oz. can frozen Orange Juice
1 cup Milk
1 cup Water
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
12-14 Ice Cubes

Pour all ingredients into a blender, process until blended but still slushy.

The second version is:

8 ounces pure orange juice
1 cup crushed ice
1 Tbs. Honey

Mix in a blender at high speed for 30 seconds. Any pure fruit juice may be used. Cranapple is an especially good substitute in this recipe.

Strawberry Iced Tea

In the south, we love our tea sweet and cold. This tea gets its sweetness from the strawberries and lemonade. It is perfect for a little girl's birthday "tea party" or just a hot summer day when you want a little something more than plain iced tea.

6 cups cold Water
1- 6 oz. Frozen Lemonade, thawed
1/2 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Instant Tea

Place strawberries in blender and blend well.

Add lemonade, sugar and instant tea.

Blend.

Combine with water and mix well.

Chill and serve over ice.

Makes 6 servings
