If you have exhausted the possibility of modifying your home to fit your needs, or your old home is just too big to handle any longer, or you just want to move closer to a loved one, or it's time for an Assisted Living lifestyle, you must consider downsizing, relocating and moving – which may require selling your home.
Maybe you need some ideas about which relocation direction is best. After all, downsizing and moving can be fairly traumatic. The good news is that you don't need to go it alone. Most companies come to your home, listen to your concerns, make suggestions and give you an assessment. Several even handle estate sales.
It is good to interview more than one relocation service. When considering any type of service, it is always advisable to call at least four of their references. Ask for details about the experience each had with the service. If it is all good, continue by saying, "Please tell me of any little problem you may have had with this person." This last question tells the person called that it is okay to talk about any minor problems, which may or may not be minor to you.
It is good to have every detail you want in a written quote. If you feel uncomfortable for any reason with a person or company, contact another one.
